I have waited for years for the ideal conditions to come together for sunset at Horsetail Falls. A wet winter combined with a warm February produced one of the best displays of 'Fire Falls' in 2016. During the days of peak lighting the walls around the falls are cast in shadows leaving only the water glowing with an ethereal light resembling lava pouring down the face of El Capitan.
